Clara Bodacious is a Bay Area producer, performer, emcee, and business babe. Her life is dedicated to art of live events and the pursuit of badass unapologetic empowerment for everyone. For the past 8 years, Clara has spent her days working in the event tech industry and her nights on and behind stages around the world.
In the midst of everything happening in 2020, you can find Clara sheltering in place and focused on listening, learning, and supporting Black voices and performers in any way she can.
She's also become a bit obsessed with rhinestoning just about anything as a screen-free activity and is happily spreading this craft with kits and online videos. The kits are available to the Black community at no cost - use the code BLM
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
The core of Clara's work is centered around reclaiming confidence, success, and glamour on our own terms. She believes in community over competition, lifting each other up, and focusing on the craft. She strives to put joy into the world and challenge norms that hold people back.
Clara works to ensure that accessibility, inclusivity, queer art, and racial equity are central to events, workshops, and spaces that she creates or is involved in. Products, classes, and (when they can happen again) live events will always be made available for free or at reduced cost to marginalized communities.
If you ever have thoughts or feedback about how anything can grow and improve in this area, she'd be honored to hear from you.
